GibWorld Interviews! - XSi Tournament
Sujoy Roy Interview - Ven
With the end of QW basically upon us, its obvious that it is Q3a or UT, if you continue in the UK Deathmatch scene. With Q3a being more popular for the moment in tournaments, such as the CPL and Frag 3, i got hold of Sujoy Roy, a professional gamer running the XSi Tournament.
The XSi tournament will be taking place on the 21st Jan 2000 in Odengaten Stockholm Sweden, at Nine Studios internet cafe. The XsReality webpage is at XSReality.com

[Ven] Who is running the tournament?

[Sujoy] Funding for the whole tournament is coming from Razer, who make the BoomSlang mice. They'll be flying in their BoomSlang rig to put on display at Nine studios during the tournament.

[Ven] What prizes do you have to offer?

[Sujoy] We're still finalising the prizes but currently we've got a whole lot of hardware including several of the fast DDR GeForces and we also want to fly the winner for free to the next CPL event in April 2000

[Ven] So, what is the format of the tournament, league table style or straight foward knockout?

[Sujoy] Current format is two 6 man brackets, with the top 4 from each going through to a full double elimination contest to find the winner

[Ven] Finally, who do you think will win?

[Sujoy] I'm rooting for a Euro to win it, but we got some damn fine American players there too

[Ven] Thanks, i hope the tournament runs smoothly

[Sujoy] Thankyou.

If you need n items of anything, you will have n - 1 in stock

So you've opted to be a beta tester and get games ahead of all your friends, but is it all that is cracked up to be? In this article we discuss the job itself, and the work it entails.
